The Amandla Project Update
Earlier this year, we launched the Amandla Project. The aim of the project was to financially empower women in rural Eswatini, for whom in the setting of absolute poverty transactional sex was often the only option in order for them to support their families.
Thanks to your generosity, the project is well under way! We have been able to teach women sewing, crafting and business skills. So far, the women have made and sold school uniforms to two schools. We hope this projects provides the women involved with a means of immediate income, as well as a be a stepping stone to future employment in other industries.
