PDI 5K for Kids - Fun Run for Scholarships

Possible Dreams International’s (PDI) Education Scholarship Fund Project was started in 2019 with the aim to support girls, particularly orphans to ensure they had access to education and a future. The effects of COVID-19 are being felt in all aspects of life in the Kingdom of Eswatini (Swaziland). Our PDI Field team has been inundated with requests for help with school fees and school supplies after many families have lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic and are not able to afford school fees.  

To help raise the much needed funds, we hosted our first Fun Run Fundraiser #PDI5forKids on the 22nd of May 2021 with the aim of raising $2000 for children's education scholarships. We were joined by over 30 walkers and runners at Albert Park Lake in Melbourne, Victoria. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we raised over $3000! Of this fund, $2000 will go towards five student scholarships, and the money raised above our $2000 goal will be directed towards the Amandla Project, which aims to support income generation opportunities for vulnerable women.
